Certification
The Florida Bar - Board Certified Workers' Compensation Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of the competency and expertise of attorneys in the area of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. Selecting an attorney who is Board Certified in workers' compensation means that you have chosen a lawyer who has special competence and expertise is in the practice of workers' compensation law. Board Certification by the Florida Bar requires that the certified lawyer have substantial involvement in the trial of at least 25 contested workers' compensation cases, has passed pear review and completed 45 hours of continuing legal education. It also means that the the attorney has passed a written examination demonstrating knowledge. skills and proficiency in the field of workers' compensation to justify the representation of special competence. Board Certification is reviewed very five years by the Florida Bar. To remain Board Certified an attorney must meet continuing standards of expertise in workers' compensation law.
